DesignOffice conceived The Commons Health Club in Richmond as a place where wellness becomes a sensory experience, with light, materials and textures creating a calm, nature-connected atmosphere.

The entrance, lounge, café and co-working areas are floored in Wicanders Originals Natural from the Cork Essence collection. It keeps the authentic look of cork and adds warmth and depth, pairing well with timber, concrete and planting.

According to the manufacturer, Cork Essence floors reduce walking noise by up to 38%, give underfoot and keep a more stable surface temperature — supporting the sense of comfort at the core of the club's concept.
