A hotel set in a 1930s former printing house and book warehouse in central Bucharest. The reception and restaurant walls are finished in Muraspec, including a digital mural of the Romanian Athenaeum.
Hotel Epica occupies a 1930s building in the heart of Bucharest that once housed a printing works and a book warehouse. The interiors, by ARDESIGN Interior Architecture, rely on warm textures, natural light and details that reference the city's cultural heritage.
The reception is anchored by Atheneum, a digital design printed on a tactile embossed base and depicting Bucharest's famous concert hall. It is paired with the wood-textured Oakwood wallcovering. According to the manufacturer, both are durable and carry built-in antimicrobial protection, which matters in a constantly busy front-of-house area.
In the restaurant, the plaster-effect Metropolitan wallcovering provides a quiet, contemporary backdrop for the dining room. Installation was carried out by Romvalex.
