158 rooms and water savings: hansgrohe at Hotel Excelsior Dubrovnik

The brief

Hotel Excelsior combines the 1913 Villa Odak with the modern Tower near Dubrovnik’s Old Town. In 2017 it was fully renovated with Zagreb-based Studio BF, covering all 158 rooms — 139 king rooms and 19 suites. The operator needed reliable fittings with clear running costs.

The solution

Bathrooms use hansgrohe Talis S: floor-standing mixers at freestanding baths and wall-mounted ones above basins to free up the vanity. Showers have the Crometta S 240 overhead and the Croma Select S Vario hand shower with push-button mode change.

The decisive argument was EcoSmart: according to the group’s technical director, it helps cut water and energy use by up to 60%.

Takeaways for your project

• Across a hundred-plus rooms, per-shower water savings quickly add up.
• Wall-mounted basin mixers free up counter space in compact rooms.
• hansgrohe’s serial ranges cover every room type with one specification.

hansgrohe Talis, Crometta and Croma are in the Domus Regia catalogue.
