A four-star hotel in Shakespeare's home town, floored with extra-wide, extra-long Monastery oak planks in a colour developed for the client.
The hotel occupies a historic half-timbered building in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, a year-round magnet for international visitors. The client wanted a floor that would support the classic English-inn character and stand up to heavy traffic.
The answer was the Monastery collection: extra-wide, extra-long oak planks finished in a colour developed to the hotel's specification. The large plank format suits the old architecture, while the hard-wearing finish is built for hotel use.
