Diamond-shaped canopies over the platforms of the national main station: a metal roof of complex geometry on one of the busiest hubs in Europe.
The Zambelli RIB-ROOF system makes curved and folded surfaces possible without losing watertightness: the standing-seam profiles are fixed on concealed clips and the seam stays free for thermal movement. For Vienna it meant one continuous metal surface over platforms hundreds of metres long.
